This class is intended for both the beginning student starting “from scratch” as well as those with some basic skills needing to learn techniques to continue to advanced.

We start with getting comfortable with your banjo and quickly move into the basic techniques of double thumb and drop thumb clawhammer banjo. Tuning to Double C/D tuning we will learn a basic tune by workshop's end. Those with no experience at all will be able to feel comfortable in this class as will the student who has found themselves ready to move on but not sure which direction to proceed.

The class will be Dan with able assistance from The Lovely Miss Jennifer who will also be available for coaching and tutoring throughout the class. Students should have an open back banjo in good working order. Some banjos may be provided for use and sale. Please let us know when you register if you will need a banjo to use.
